Zander Finds a Friend

Zander Finds a Friend is the story of a young boy and his hope to find true friendship. As the main character Zander looks to begin the first day of 3rd grade at his new school in his new city, he’s encouraged by his loving parents and reminded of how unique and special he is. His first day at Birmingham Academy is one he’ll always remember as he tackles his nervous tummy and meets amazing friends and wonderful teachers he’ll never forget.

Zander Finds a Friend is Author Angela Scott Abdur-Rasheed’s sixth book and her third book written for young readers. Her first youth book, The Adventures of Abigail Jones is a hilarious story filled with relatable faith and family lessons sprinkled with the importance of prayer and written for children. Oooohhh, Girl! You’re Something Special is Angela’s second youth-inspired book. It’s a modern-day story of two cool sisters helping their middle school overcome the effects of bullying and return to the roots of friendship. It’s written specifically for tweens, teens and the grownups who love them.

Still Standing

Andrea, or Lady A as she was called in her previous life as a Pastor’s wife, has found herself at a crossroads following an unwanted divorce, an unbelievable journey to healing and a beautifully unexpected second marriage.

She quickly learns that singlehood and marriage a second time around are just as much of a rollercoaster ride as the first time and are giving the highs and lows of divorce a run for its money. The sudden divorce of a family member, a few gossiping former church members, and some shocking revelations about her former spouse are the perfect storm to whip up the plot twists that test her fortitude and prove her faith as she navigates “I Do” pt. 2. Sprinkle in a colorful cast of characters to join in on the ride adding some wisdom, humor and, of course, drama, and you have an ideal recipe for the re-emergence of Drea.

Still Standing is Author Angela Abdur-Rasheed’s fifth book and continues the journey of her third successful book, Still a Lady. It focuses on the fictitious account of a former Pastor’s wife on the remarkable path to embracing a new life, new love, new marriage, and of course, new opportunities to be reminded of the fact that she’s still standing.

Oooohhh, Girl! You’re Something Special

Sisters Jaymie and Jacie Jones are navigating Myrna Ria Middle School the best they can. With their Sister Circle Squad Click by their side it seems this group of teen girls is unstoppable. That is until a mysterious and mean list turns the school and their world upside down. How will the sisters and their friends get through it? There’s only one answer. Together.

Oooohhh, Girl! You’re Something Special is a sweet short story and is perfect for teens, tweens, adults and everyone in between. It’s funny, modern, moving, relatable and ideal for the individual in need of a quick reminder that they are special.

Still a Lady

Andrea Matthews, or Lady A as her husband’s and her church family called her, had it all. She was a doting wife, mother and daughter and a popular ministry leader who dedicated her life to helping marriages heal and helping women heal when marriages or relationships didn’t.

Imagine her surprise when she was greeted with the heartbreaking words from her husband/pastor/boss/best friend that would crush her spirit and cause her to question everything and everyone she’d known, “I care for you, Andrea, but I’m not in love with you. I haven’t been for quite a while. I believe the Lord is leading me to live like Paul. He wants me to be single and focus only on my ministry.” With those few words, Lady A was changed forever. It was up to her to decide if she would let life get better or succumb to the burning temptation to seek revenge on the man she’d once given her “I Do” to. Still a Lady is available on Amazon.

The Adventures of Abigail Jones: The Family Reunion

The Adventures of Abigail Jones: The Family Reunion is a fabulous and funny story filled with faith nuggets and unforgettable characters that shares the story of a super little girl with super big powers. Abigail’s biggest power is the power of prayer. It comes in handy for Abigail, especially during her family reunion, as she embarks on an adventure only an epic reunion, some unexpected guests, and a friendly feline can provide.

The Adventures of Abigail Jones: The Family Reunion is Angela’s second book. This book, for children and adults alike, lovingly tackles life and loss, and hilariously spotlights the importance of family and faith.
